L'ensemble de dix cuivres exclusivement féminin tenThing a été formé en 2007 par la trompettiste norvégienne Tine Thing Helseth dans le cadre d'une collaboration passionnante entre amis musiciens. tenThing s'est depuis fermement établi sur la scène internationale et a reçu de nombreuses ovations. Le groupe est célèbre pour son engagement en faveur de la diffusion et de l'accès à la musique grâce à un répertoire varié allant de Mozart à Weill, de Grieg à Bernstein, et de Lully à Bartok.
tenThing s'est d'abord fait connaître grâce à des représentations dans toute la Norvège, son pays d'origine, et a fini par ravir un vaste public national en ouvrant la cérémonie des Grammy Awards norvégiens de 2011. Peu de temps après, le groupe a attiré l'attention internationale après son apparition très réussie aux BBC Proms au Cadogan Hall de Londres et ailleurs en Europe. Au printemps 2017, le groupe tenThing a effectué sa première tournée aux États-Unis.
tenThing proposera à l’Artikuss un programme musical très varié avec des œuvres de Grieg, Lully, Chaminade, Albeniz, Piazzolla, Gershwin, Bernstein et bien d'autres.

Formed in 2007 by Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth as a fun and exciting collaboration between musical friends, the ten-piece, all-female brass ensemble tenThing have firmly established themselves on the international scene to great acclaim. tenThing are celebrated for their commitment to outreach and access to music through a diverse repertoire that spans from Mozart to Weill, Grieg to Bernstein, and Lully to Bartok.
tenThing first came into prominence thanks to performances all over their native Norway, eventually delighting a huge national audience by opening the 2011 Norwegian Grammy Awards. Soon after, the group drew international attention after their highly successful appearance at the BBC Proms at London’s Cadogan Hall and elsewhere in Europe. In Spring 2017, the group tenThing had his first USA tour.
The very versatile programm of tenThing at Artikuss includes works by Grieg, Lully, Chaminade, Albeniz, Piazzolla, Gershwin, Bernstein and many more.

Das zehnköpfige, ausschließlich weibliche Blechbläserensemble tenThing wurde 2007 von der norwegischen Trompeterin Tine Thing Helseth im Rahmen einer spannenden Zusammenarbeit zwischen befreundeten Musikern gegründet. tenThing hat sich seitdem fest in der internationalen Szene etabliert und zahlreiche Standing Ovations erhalten. Das Ensemble wird für sein Engagement für die Verbreitung und den Zugang zur Musik durch ein vielfältiges Repertoire gefeiert, das von Mozart bis Weill, Grieg bis Bernstein und Lully bis Bartok reicht.
tenThing wurde zunächst durch Auftritte in ihrem Heimatland Norwegen bekannt und begeisterte schließlich ein großes nationales Publikum, als sie 2011 die norwegischen Grammy Awards eröffnete. Kurz darauf erregte die Band nach ihrem überaus erfolgreichen Auftritt bei den BBC Proms in der Londoner Cadogan Hall und anderswo in Europa internationale Aufmerksamkeit. Im Frühjahr 2017 ging das Ensemble tenThing erstmals auf Tournee durch die USA.
